New footage has emerged shedding a whole new light on Khabib Nurmagomedov attacking Conor McGregor’s entourage following his victory at UFC 229 over the weekend.

In what was billed as the biggest fight in the 25-year history of the company, Khabib caught Conor with a strong fist early in the second round sending McGregor to the floor.

The fight eventually came to an end in the fourth round when McGregor was forced into submission.

What followed was almost cinematic in its lairiness. Khabib, not so content with winning the scrap, proceeded to jump out of the Octagon and into McGregor’s camp. People from Khabib’s entourage then jumped into the Octagon and swung for McGregor who had been swinging a couple of arms at another member of the Russian’s team.

Today, new video footage has been uploaded to Twitter which shines a pretty revealing light on the big shebang.

Mike Russell wrote:

This vid show’s Khabib’s Dominance MMA managing partner Rizvan Magomedov harassing Dillon Danis who pushes him away as Nurmagomedov notices the skirmish & jumps in to assist. Magomedov who can be seen in other videos scuffling with police trying to break up the brawl was arrested.

So what appeared to be Khabib losing the plot completely and just going for anyone in sight, no quarter, it appears as if he was triggered by Dillon having an altercation with his managing partner beside the Octagon.

Following the furore over the weekend, McGregor has been suspended by the UFC on ‘medical grounds’. As a result he will not be allowed any contact until October 28.

The official line on the UFC list of medical suspensions states: ‘Conor McGregor: Suspended until 6/11/18, no contact until 28/10/18.’

As is often the case in the fallout of a fight, McGregor issued a congratulatory message for his opponent, writing on his Twitter, ‘Good knock. Looking forward to the rematch.’

It was McGregor’s first fight back in the Octagon since a two-year hiatus from MMA, during which time he boxed Floyd Mayweather, losing by TKO in round 10 of their August 2017 bout.

Mystic Mac returned to the UFC in a bid to once again win the lightweight strap. He first took the belt from Eddie Alvarez on November 12, 2016, but was stripped of the title during his absence from competition. Nurmagomedov would eventually become the champion after defeating Al Iaquinta for the vacant belt on April 7, 2018.

McGregor’s opponent Khabib escaped suspension on medical grounds after finishing the fight relatively unscathed and passing post-match medical examinations.

People from Khabib’s entourage then jumped into the Octagon and swung for McGregor who had been swinging a couple of arms at another member of the Russian’s team.

Now, the whole precursor to Khabib’s post-fight reaction has been rubbished, by the man himself.

Speaking about the UFC 223 bus incident, Khabib told RT:

So I was traveling with all the other fighters who would fight from the red corner. I was in the red corner as well as a favourite. With me there was only one person (from my team) and my manager.

And if you watch the footage, you can see that the bus almost gets to the gate, and then suddenly it stops and pull back. Why?

If you see that some people are attacking the bus, then you should keep moving and get outside (from the parking lot). But then you stop and pull back. Why?

KhabibPA

He added:

For me there are a lot of questions. I don’t know whether the UFC made it all on purpose or not.

But they started to attack (the bus), break (windows). It was a crowd of around 20 men.

Inside (the bus) we had three security guards. And as you can see (in the video), there were security guards outside as well, trying to stop Conor. In my opinion, I give 70 per cent that it was a set-up.

I wanted to get outside, and all the fighters who were in the bus, already confirmed it in their interviews, as well as all the managers. It all happened in about one or two minutes. I don’t know, but this incident leaves a lot of questions for me.

Poland’s MMA organisation Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki have added a new fighter to their 2019 lineup, and I already feel sorry for anyone who’s set to go up against this incredibly scary man.

Martyn Ford is a 33-year-old, 6’8″, 140kg human wall of muscle, and he is also the new addition to KSW.

After appearing in movies such as Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Redcon-1, the actor-slash-bodybuilder signed up for the MMA organisation and has since spent his time documenting the progress of his training.

While he might be a lovely person in real life, Martyn is one man you wouldn’t want to cross. He looks like he could fling you through a wall with a gentle flick of his finger.

As an example of his ability to floor anything which gets in his way, Martyn posted a video showing him battering a 100lb punching bag.

The bodybuilder hit the bag so hard its bolted frame ripped right out of the brick wall, so I think it’s safe to assume he’s going to be a pretty brutal opponent in the MMA octagon.

Sharing the announcement on Instagram, Martyn revealed he was considering appearing under the name ‘The Nightmare’:

I think it’s pretty fair to say the news is out, and YES I Will be stepping into the cage for @ksw_mma VERY SOON, no doubt there will be critics, I’m here to prove those people wrong.

All energy is good energy, the KEY to success is to take every energy source giving to you and use it !!!!!

Training is going incredible, body is changing daily, fitness is coming back, energy is through the roof, now all that is left to decide is …….. do I go by the name THE NIGHTMARE!!!! Who wants to see Koshmar in the cage !!!

The 33-year-old will start fighting for the MMA organisation in 2019, but becoming an MMA fighter hasn’t actually been a lifelong ambition of the hugely muscly man.

Martyn originally dreamed of becoming a professional cricketer, but finished playing after suffering injuries.

He posted about his story on Instagram, writing:

I was lost when I finished playing cricket. I was convinced I would turn pro and that would be my life set out. With injuries, bad luck and just losing love for the game that never happened. But the void was never filled. I knew deep down I needed to succeed at something, that I had an ability to shine in some way.

I have always been so focused and committed with a crazy ambition to win. Fast forward to today, I’m travelling the world with fitness, made two films with three more already lined up. Not to mention three businesses to my name.

The actor has been working hard to improve his flexibility and speed, traits which will be advantageous to him in MMA. I bet any fighters who could be placed up against Martyn in the octagon are regretting their life decisions right about now!

Since his victory against Conor McGregor in Las Vegas, Khabib Nurmagomedov hasn’t exactly stayed out of the spotlight.

Taking to Instagram, the Russian set his sights on a new opponent, calling out none other than boxing veteran Floyd Mayweather and challenging him to a fight.

Khabib called out Mayweather while he was hanging out with Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions.

Look who I ran into at tonight’s fights in Russia.

A post shared by Leonard Ellerbe (@leonardellerbe) on

Obviously feeling confident after his win over McGregor, the Russian suggested he and Mayweather should get together.

In the video, he says:

Hey let’s go Floyd, we have to fight now. 50-0 versus 27-0. Two guys, never never like lose. In the jungle, only one king.

Of course I am the king because he cannot drop McGregor. But I dropped him easily!

Now, the boxing legend has responded with his own message on Instagram, saying:

CBS, Showtime and MGM Grand get the checkbook out!
Go to @leonardellerbe ‘s page to view Khabib Nurmagomedov challenging me.

LET’S MAKE LAS VEGAS GREAT AGAIN!

If his latest post is anything to go by, it seems Mayweather is up for the challenge.
