The evil cat from Pet SemataryParamount

The first sinister trailer for Pet Sematary has crawled its way onto the Internet like an undead kitty crawling out of its grave and it’s seriously creepy.

Based on the Stephen King book of the same name, Pet Sematary tells the story of Louis Creed and his family who’ve just moved to, where else, Maine.

After the family cat has an unfortunate accident involving a ten-tonne truck, their new neighbour Jud Crandall suggests burying the animal in the nearby ‘Pet Sematary’.

Jud has a warning however, the ground in the ‘sematary’ is wrong and burying the cat there may have unforeseen consequences, after all ‘sometimes dead is better’.

Check out the trailer here:

Directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kölsch, Pet Sematary boasts an all-star cast including Jason Clarke as Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz as Rachel Creed and John Lithgow as Jud Crandall, the Creed’s friendly neighbour who’s burdened with terrible knowledge.

This is the second time that Pet Sematary has been adapted for the big screen but the film’s writer Jeff Buhler told Dread Central that he thinks this film could not only be better than the first film but also be the best King adaptation of all time.

He said:

I will say this, if you love the book, you’ll love this movie.

[Directors] Dennis [Widmyer] and Kevin [Kolsch] are both such visionaries in terms of how they’ve approached it, from not only a horror standpoint but also a character standpoint, and it’s been really gratifying to work with those guys.

I think we’re on track to it make one of the scariest Stephen King adaptations ever! That’s our goal anyway.

Sounds like this isn’t going to be a movie for scaredy-cats!

Pet Sematary isn’t the only King adaptation creeping its way onto the big screen next year. Horror fans can also look forward to the next instalment in Andy Muschietti’s IT duology.

IT: Chapter Two will see the Losers return to Derry 27 years after they first battled Pennywise the evil shape-shifting clown in hope of ending his reign of terror forever.

Bill Skarsgård, will reprise his star-making role as Pennywise. While James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Jay Ryan, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone, and Andy Bean will portray the adult versions of The Losers Club.

Can the Losers bring down the clown? Well you’ll have to watch to find out!

Pet Sematary will groan it’s way into cinemas here in the UK ‘soon’ while IT : Chapter 2 hits theatres September 6, 2019.

The Avengers: Endgame trailer was finally released last week much to fans’ delight.

While not giving much away, Marvel did tease us with glimpses of what we can expect from the fourth Avengers film which will bring to an end Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Teasing us with shots of Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye as Ronin and the return of Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man, it was the opening scene of the trailer that left us with the most questions.

You can check out the trailer here:

Opening on a shot of Tony Stark’s Iron Man helmet lying on the floor of a spaceship, the hero turns it on to record a message for his fiancee Pepper Potts who is back on Earth.

Tired, lost and looking defeated, Tony tells Pepper:

Dear Miss Potts, if you find this recording don’t feel bad about this, part of the journey is the end. Just for the record being adrift in space with zero promise of rescue is more fun than it sounds.

Food and water ran out four days ago, oxygen will run out tomorrow morning and I mean it, when I drift off I will dream about you, it’s always you.

After he has said goodbye Tony turns the helmet off leaving us all wondering if he will die while lost in space.

The emotional scene has clearly left fans devastated, many of whom are now hilariously turning to NASA for help.

People have been tweeting the space agency asking them to send a team out to space to rescue Tony in order to get him back home to Pepper and the rest of the Avengers.

One user urgently tweeted:

NASA SAVE TONY STARK. HIS OXYGEN WILL RUN OUT TOMORROW DO SOMETHING.

Jerry also asked NASA to do something but in a slightly more threatening way:

NASA stop other things… Just go for Tony Stark and rescue him…

Or you will pay for it…

Go go go…..

Just go there you damn folks

Sidd shared a photo of Stark with NASA on Twitter hoping that will help:

NASA. Hey guys…

On behalf of all the survivors I request you to pls find Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man, resident of 10-8-80 Malibu Point, 90265, Malibu, CA. He is stuck somewhere in space without food and water with oxygen about to run out anytime now. Here’s his picture.

Galal cleverly also reminded NASA to be aware of Thanos in his tweet:

I hope you search the space for Tony Stark, nicknamed Iron Man, and bring him back to Earth for the Avengers

But beware of Thanos.

Amos also asked NASA to save Tony calling him ‘the only hope’ in the fight against Thanos:

NASA. Please look for Mr Tony Stark on space. He is wondering on a ship alone. Please save him NASA. Thank you very much. He is the only hope in order to finish thanos once and for all.

We really do hope Tony somehow finds a way home. If the trailer really did reveal his ultimate fate, I will need to bring a big box of tissues with me to the cinema!

Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas worldwide on April 26, 2019.

Marvel Studios has thanked the ‘greatest fans in the world’ after the trailer for Avengers 4: Endgame ended up smashing a huge record.

After months of waiting as well as some delays, the trailer was released yesterday (December 6).

While it gives very little away… and we still have little idea what the film’s about, things sure look bleak for Earth’s mightiest heroes, but it seems the waiting game has worked.

Marvel Studios

A lot of people – and that’s the biggest understatement ever – tuned in during those first 24 hours.

In a tweet, Marvel Studios wrote:

To the greatest fans in the world, thank you for being there from the beginning until the endgame and making this the most viewed trailer in history with 289M views in 24 hours!

Incredible!

Avengers: Endgame will bring to an end Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe so it would make sense to kill off some original characters, including Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark who has long be rumoured to make his exit in this film.

We didn’t know though ‘making his exit’ may mean his death.

And while we’re sure fans will flock to the cinema to see how the Avengers will finally defeat Thanos and undo ‘The Snap’ it may not end up being the biggest film of 2019.

Marvel Studios

Disney and Marvel will no doubt hope Endgame will be bigger than Infinity War but that’s an ambitious goal even for a film as eagerly anticipated as Avengers 4.

Infinity War was a huge hit financially, breaking numerous records, including; becoming the first superhero film to take over $2 billion at the worldwide box office, becoming the fourth biggest film ever, and the biggest film of 2018.

Not only the film was widely beloved critically with critics praising Josh Brolin’s wonderful performance (Thanos did nothing wrong) and directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s ability to perfectly balance character and action.

There’s going to be some serious competition from another Disney film coming out near Christmas time.

Star Wars: Episode IX is due for release in December 2019 and is the biggest threat toAvengers 4′s box office domination, or will at least stop it being the year’s number one film.

And while the more cynical among you may suggest that fans will boycott Episode IX, like they allegedly did to Solo, in an attempt to ruin the film’s box office, let’s be real.

Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas worldwide on April 26, 2019.

Deadpool Trolls New Avengers: Endgame Movie On Expert Level

deadpoolAGotcha!

Published

Yesterday the most eagerly anticipated trailer of 2018 finally hit the web to the delight of millions, but one person it seems wasn’t happy with the release, none other than Deadpool.

And like a superhero based Grinch, the regenerating degenerate has decided to steal the attention away from Avengers: Endgame by any means necessary.

In this case, Deadpool’s stolen the URL, AvengersEndgame.com so that it redirects to an advert for his upcoming film, Once Upon A Deadpool rather than anything Avengers related.

I guess all is fair in love and film marketing?

Once Upon A Deadpool is a PG-13 recut of this year’s Deadpool 2 with a few new cheeky bonus scenes thrown in for good measure. Most notably the film features a unique framing mechanism.

Well, I say unique, what I actually mean is they stole from paid homage to The Princess Bride by borrowing its framing mechanism wholesale but replaced Peter Falk’s grandad with Deadpool.

Fred Savage is back though, so that’s good! Although he’s there against his will, which is bad! Thankfully his kidnapping will serve a good cause, as a portion of Once Upon A Deadpool’s profits will go to Ryan Reynold’s cancer Charity F*ck Cancer.

According to Reynold’s, this was a condition of his making a PG Deadpool movie.

Reynold’s told Deadline

Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006, I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions.

First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…

Fred Savage has also released a statement saying that while his participation in the film was anything but voluntary he’s pleased that this ‘shameless cash grab’ will benefit a charity.

Once Upon a Deadpool will have a limited-run in America which will begin on December 12 and conclude on Christmas Eve. Here in the UK meanwhile it’s a one day only affair on December 11.

Unfortunately for younger British fans of the Merc With A Mouth Once Upon A Deadpool didn’t get a PG rating here in the UK, it got a 15 certificate.

According to the BBFC who give out the certificate Once Upon a Deadpool includes scenes of violence, sex and language that would be inappropriate for a younger audience.

They wrote:

[Deadpool includes] strong violence including a man’s back being broken over a table, causing his body to distort. There are several crunchy bone breaks and stabbings, as well as the suggestion of a man being attacked with a chainsaw…

Crude humour includes a long sequence of bleeped language in which a man reels off the various ways and positions in which he would like to ‘bleep’ a particular actor, as well as the suggestion that the contents of a soap dispenser has been replaced with semen. There are crude sex references throughout, including to pornography, ball gags, sex toys and oral sex.

There are several verbal references to paedophilia, sex offenders and incest, and visual and verbal references to drug misuse.

Sounds like the perfect festive family film.

Once Upon A Deadpool will briefly hit UK cinemas on December 11 meanwhile Avengers: Endgame crashes into theatres on April 26.
