NEYMAR has been left “stressed” by his recent bust-up with Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Edinson Cavani.
That’s according to former Parc des Princes favourite Nene, who adds that Neymar is happy in France despite reports linking him with an early exit.
The Brazilian superstar has only been at PSG for six months after completing a world-record £195million move from Barcelona last summer.
But despite a fine start to his Ligue 1 career, it’s been claimed that Neymar is far from settled in his new surroundings and is hankering for a switch to Real Madrid.
An on-field clash with Cavani over penalty duties in September did little to quash those rumours.
But Nene reckons compatriot Neymar will become more relaxed as he continues to adapt to life in the French capital.
Nene told RMC Sport: “Neymar has never told me that he is disappointed by the treatment he receives in France – he has never said anything like that to me.
“For sure, he perhaps expected a few things to be easier than they are in reality, but this is football – we cannot predict everything.
“Everybody in his entourage knew that he was going to need to adapt. After all, it is a new challenge.
“At the start, patience is required. Of course, there have been a few moments that have been less than enjoyable.

“Yes, perhaps he was a little stressed because of that [argument with Cavani].
“I gave him my opinion [before the move]. I explained to him about the city, the club and the infrastructure.
“I told him that he would have nothing to regret in leaving Barcelona. With Barca, he had won everything, so I said: ‘Imagine you go to Paris for a new challenge, with the same structures that you have in Barcelona and maybe better’.

“On top of that, you will have a great team, it is a beautiful city, you will have everything you want and you will be their great player, the star of the team.
“If you win a Champions League with PSG, it will be worth 100 times more than if you do it again with Barca.”

ARSENAL look to have landed Sevilla central midfielder Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla, according to foreign reports.
The deal will apparently be made up of a £32.7m down payment and £2.6m in bonuses.
The 28-year-old former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City player has fallen out of favour at Sevilla following a row with the management.
N’Zonzi, who stands 6ft 3ins, was upset at his half-time substitution against Liverpool in the Champions League last month.
He is known to be keen to return to the Premier League and could be the big midfield enforcer Arsenal have been looking for since the days of Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit.
Besides Arsenal, Everton – now managed by his former Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce – are thought to have been on his trail.
N’Zonzi recently told France Football: “My future is somewhere else. We just have to wait until December is over and everything will be done.
“I hope Sevilla qualify in the Champions League and have good luck in the future, but I will not be part of that adventure.
“What hurts is the way everything is going to end. It hurts, of course, but for now the team is functioning.

“There’s only a short time left, just December to pass, and it’s better that my time at Sevilla stops then.”
N’Zonzi joined Sevilla from Stoke in 2015 in a £7 million deal, and he has largely been successful in Spain.
