However his recent form that has seen him score eight total goals for the Blues this season appears to have gone unnoticed by the journalists who vote.

His 19th rank put him above Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho but below the likes of of his country mate and Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The playmaker also finished behind Antoine Griezmann, Toni Kroos and Marcelo after being voted the second best player in the Premier League last season.

Social media has spoken out venting their frustrations on not seeing the Belgium at least with in the top-ten on the list.

Last season Hazard bagged 17 goals and provided seven assists across all competitions for Chelsea to help them win the Premier League title.

His 19th rank is a big improvement on last year when he failed to make the top-30 but people on social media believe it is not enough and have called out the Ballon d’Or voters.

One Twitter user said: “Eden Hazard number 19? There are 18 players in the world better than him?! Ballon d’Or is a joke.”

The deal will apparently be made up of a £32.7m down payment and £2.6m in bonuses.

The 28-year-old former Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City player has fallen out of favour at Sevilla following a row with the management.

N’Zonzi, who stands 6ft 3ins, was upset at his half-time substitution against Liverpool in the Champions League last month.

He is known to be keen to return to the Premier League and could be the big midfield enforcer Arsenal have been looking for since the days of Patrick Vieira and Emmanuel Petit.

Besides Arsenal, Everton – now managed by his former Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce – are thought to have been on his trail.

N’Zonzi recently told France Football: “My future is somewhere else. We just have to wait until December is over and everything will be done.

“I hope Sevilla qualify in the Champions League and have good luck in the future, but I will not be part of that adventure.

“What hurts is the way everything is going to end. It hurts, of course, but for now the team is functioning.

“There’s only a short time left, just December to pass, and it’s better that my time at Sevilla stops then.”
