CONOR MCGREGOR had the world’s eyes on him when he fought Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas back in August.

McGregor has already said girlfriend Dee Devlin is the one person who keeps him going during his brutal training regimes. Here, SunSport takes a look at the woman behind the two-time UFC champion.

Who is Dee Devlin, Conor McGregor’s girlfriend?

Conor McGregor’s long-term girlfriend is Dee Devlin.

Devlin has been dating McGregor for more than eight years now and the pair recently had a baby, Conor Jack McGregor.

She comes from Dublin, like the UFC star, though from Walkinstown, not Crumlin, which is where the superstar UFC fighter hails from.

The Irish stunner is McGregor’s No1 fan and even quit her job to be able to support him by travelling with him.

The UFC champ then hired her as an official member of his team, putting her in charge of his finances. Devlin also helps her other half train.

McGregor insists he owes his career to his devoted partner.

In November, he told the Irish Mirror: “My girlfriend worked very hard throughout the years and stuck by me when I had essentially nothing.

“For me to be able to take her out of work, give her everything she’s ever wanted and to travel the world with, fills me with pride.”

Devlin told ESPN: “I definitely try to help him out all the time, even without realising it – especially around a fight because it’s such a tough time with his weight.

“I cook, clean, pack his gym bag, all that kind of stuff.”

When did they have their baby Conor Jr?

Devlin and McGregor’s first child Conor Jack McGregor Jr was born on May 5, 2017, just a few months before McGregor’s superfight with Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas.

Conor Jr’s christening was a typically lavish event which took place near Dublin at Luttrellstown Castle.

The venue was also used by David and Victoria Beckham for their wedding back in 1999.

Among the guests were McGregor’s coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy.

McGregor and Devlin chose to dress their son in a white suit and posted several photos of the day on Instagram.

What was Rita Ora and Conor McGregor’s ‘date night’ selfie?

In December 2017, McGregor was pictured posing for a ‘date night’ selfie with Rita Ora at the Fashion Awards.

The stars posed for a snap together before Rita and Conor, 29, cuddled up for a few pictures on their own, which Rita then shared on her social media with the caption: “Date night @TheNotoriousMMA”.

Fans of the UFC fighter quickly used Twitter to criticise Rita Ora for posting the picture and accompanying caption.

One wrote: “That’s lovely for his partner and mother of his child, have a big of respect maybe?”

McGregor’s sparring partner Artem Lobov also appeared to weigh in on the incident.

Replying to Rita Ora’s original tweet he wrote: “Sorry Rita, Burgers are nice but not when a man has steak at home.”

A spokesman for Rita said: “Date night is a figure of speech, Rita also posted selfies with Donatella Versace as her real date and one with Jourdan Dunn as her date.”

TYSON FURY has been cleared to return to the boxing ring with immediate effect… despite being slapped with a two-year ban for doping.

The ban is backdated to December 2015, when Fury was first found to have used a banned steroid, with the Brit boxer now eyeing an immediate comeback.

The “Gypsy King” is now able to return to the ring with immediate effect as he gets his career back on track.

Both he and cousin Hughie Fury insist they have “never knowingly or deliberately committed a violation”.

Immediately after learning his fate, Fury took aim at Anthony Joshua – who he intends to fight in 2018 – tweeting his fellow Brit: “Where you at boy?

“I’m coming for you punk ent no1 blocking my path now!” [sic]

Former heavyweight champion Fury hasn’t fought since his victory over Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

But he tweeted his delight immediately after learning his fate, captioning a video of him in the car: “Guess who’s back? #returnofthemac”.

In a statement, UKAD claimed: “UKAD, Tyson Fury and Hughie Fury have agreed to resolve proceedings brought by UKAD against Tyson Fury and Hughie Fury based on the reported presence of elevated levels of nandrolone metabolites in urine samples that they provided after their respective fights in February 2015; and against Tyson Fury based on his alleged failure to provide a sample in September 2016.

“In recognition of the respective counter-arguments and the risks inherent in the dispute resolution process, each side has accepted a compromise of its position.”

Fury has said for months how desperate he is to return to boxing after being stripped of his licence to fight – and will now fight to regain it so he can get back in the ring.

Getting the all-clear from UKAD is the first step of this, after he failed a drugs test following his win over Klitschko… and later admitted to taking cocaine.

SunSport reported on Friday how the 29-year-old was set to discover his boxing fate when meeting with the UKAD panel after the initial hearing last summer was adjourned.

Testers are said to have found traces of the banned steroid nandrolone in a sample of Fury’s urine back in February 2015.

Earlier on Tuesday, Fury shared a video of himself and a friend on their way to the gym… while wearing a £9,000 chinchilla coat.

On the unusual attire, the Gypsy King claimed: He said: “It’s f***ing freezing where I am so I had to bring me old chinchilla bad boy out.

“For the real rudeboy that I am . . . coat’s warm . . . breaking out the locker . . . busting out, man.”

STEPHEN SMITH thanked fans for their support after he almost had his ear gruesomely ripped off in a bloody loss to Francisco Vargas in Las Vegas on Sunday morning.

But after suffering the sickening cut to his left ear from an accidental clash of heads the fight was stopped by the ringside doctor after the ninth round.

That left the result up to the judges, who scored 89-82, 88-83, 88-83 in favour of Vargas.

However, it was not the result that everyone was talking about following the 32-year-old Liverpudlian’s defeat.

The sickening images swept around the world, but Smith posted a positive update later on Sunday afternoon.

He wrote: “Thanks very much for all your supportive messages last night, read them all and they mean a lot.

“Went to hospital and got my ear stitched back up so hopefully all will heal well. Thanks again for all the love and support. Have a good Christmas everyone.”

The horrific images of the gash evoked memories of when former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson bit a chunk of Evander Holyfield’s ear off during their title fight back in 1997 rematch for the belt.

Ex-unified super-middleweight and light-heavyweight world champ Andre Ward was one of those stunned by what he had witnessed.

He said: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like that in a boxing match…in an ear that was not bitten.”

The hospital trip to repair his ear compounded a miserable night for Smith Stateside.

He has now lost three of his last five fights, with two of those world title attempts.

Some good news did emerge later at least as he received the green light from medics to fly back to England on Monday as planned.

Smith claimed prior to the Vargas clash that he would call time on his career if he continued to fall short at the top level.

The fighter from a family of four boxing brothers said: “This is boxing and I know having had two chances, I might only get one more shot.

“For me it is not about going back to British level, I want to win a world title and defeat can ruin that.”

Meanwhile, the victory marked a successful return to action for Vargas, aged 32.

It was the Mexican’s first in-ring appearance since Miguel Berchelt inflicted a maiden career defeat on him to take his world title back in January.
