But despite their silly antics, the stylish stars look glamorous as usual. Emma, 29, wore an off-white dress with a high slit by Louis Vuitton, while Jennifer, 27, opted for a floral two-piece ensemble by Alexander McQueen.

Emma and Jennifer came first and third on this year’s Forbes list of highest-paid actresses of 2017 — earning £20million and £18m respectively.

On her relationship with Emma, Jennifer previously said: “We’re very supportive of each other.”

The Hollywood it-girls became firm friends after their mutual co-star Woody Harrelson introduced them.

The astute actor realised the two women had a lot in common and put the them in touch.

The Mother! actress and La La Land star have been close friends since, and say they text each other daily.

Despite rumours that their friendship was on the fritz, Jen and Emma looked closer than ever at Saturday’s event, making each other laugh as they playfully posed on the red carpet.

A show insider said: “His mum is heavily featured and he talks a lot about different relatives.

“But Paul ignored his wife and didn’t talk about her on camera at all.

“It felt very strange given he has spent a lot of his life with her and they have a son together.”

Bake Off judge Paul split from Alex, 53, this week after she struggled to get over his affair with US chef Marcela Valladolid, 39, in 2013.

FIRED Apprentice candidate Andrew Brady has furiously denied swearing in front of a client – and claims the BBC falsely edited the show for the sake of a storyline.

The project engineer, 26, became the first of three candidates to be given the boot on Wednesday – after being reprimanded by Lord Sugar for dropping the F-bomb mid negotiation.

Candidates were challenged with the task of running their own doggy service business and fellow contestant Sarah Lynn said she was “mortified” after Andrew swore.

But in an exclusive interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column Andrew has revealed that he wasn’t fairly represented by the show.

He said: “I didn’t swear at the time it was portrayed.

“I’m very p***** off because it was put in at a time to deliberately make me look bad. It is total b******s.

“They used it to tell a storyline – and Sarah went along with it. She did what she had to do. She was probably in the right to do what she did – I don’t hold it against her.

“Ultimately I am not going to play the tiny violin for myself. All I can say is that the candidates left are total weirdos who all buy their own Instagram followers.”

Lord Sugar also fired Anisa Topan and Charles Burns – described by Andrew as a “smug little b******.”

It wasn’t all stressful scenes in the boardroom for Andrew, who compares his time on the business show to being a university student.

The Sun revealed that Andrew bedded fellow hopeful Anisa, who is now married, during filming of the show.

Despite being gagged by The Apprentice PR team and warned not to talk about his secret romp, he said: “Surely that was just a rumour? Rumours are often true though aren’t they?

“I thought being on the show was going to be a big p*** up really. It was like student life, it felt like I was back at university again.

“I want to be remembered as a laddish candidate who didn’t take himself too seriously – that’s my legacy.”

In the drama, the solo journey is described as: “A five-month stag do — whores in every port.”

The second series will be available from December 8 and comes weeks after the royal couple’s 70th wedding anniversary.

But at the drama’s premiere this week, show creator Peter Morgan said he was not trying to attack Her Majesty or the Duke of Edinburgh.

He said: “What I have to do is write a story about people at the centre of British life who are human beings.

“If you’re hoping that tries to pick holes in the royal marriage, I wouldn’t dream of it.

Their marriage is a triumph by any standards.” The ten-part series sees Claire Foy, 33, and Matt Smith, 35, reprise their roles as the Queen and Prince Philip ten years into the royal marriage.

The Queen’s suspicions of cheating are aroused when she finds a picture of a dancer in Philip’s bag.

This is believed to represent Pat Kirkwood, the real life dancer he was linked to.

Rumours of flings grew when the prince spent five months touring commonwealth countries on the Royal Yacht Britannia.

In the drama he meets native women from Papua New Guinea and Tonga.

His private secretary writes: “Nowhere on earth have we seen such beautiful women. We tear ourselves away, each of us not a little bit, but a great deal, in love.”

  • Prince Harry will guest edit BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and is working on a show which will highlight issues from youth violence to conservation.
