ROSIE Webster has revealed she had a wild lesbian experience in Coronation Street, only with a twist.

The ditzy window washer – who is played by actress Helen Flanagan in the ITV soap – spoke in tonight’s episode of her dipping in the Sapphic waters much like her actual lesbian sister Sophie.

Rosie was thrilled to be telling all about her lesbian fling

“This place was like really retro, steampunk and there was this really cool looking girl,” Rosie said, setting the scene for Sophie and Rana Nazir.

“She had like spiky hair, leathers, dead skinny, she could have been a rock star.

“And I thought, ‘Right, I’ll show you Sophie Webster’.

“So anyway I really turned it on, chatted her up and went back to her place.”

Rana and Sophie were all ears for Rosie’s tale
Unfortunately her lesbian romance was just a case of mistaken identity

But as an increasingly intrigued Rana asked for more information on Rosie’s first gay experience, Rosie revealed it wasn’t all quite as it seems.

She added: “Well yeah, but when it got down to it she turned out to be a guy anyway.”

“You know I did try my best so that must count for something,” she added, super proud of herself.

“Well what can I say? We’re here for a good time not a long time,” she said as she nipped to the loo.

Her ashes and those of her beloved brother, Kenneth Hodgkinson, who died in October, aged 92, were scattered near Grasmere in the Lake District this month, the Daily Mirror said.

Kenneth’s daughter, Sonia Hearld, told the newspaper: “We spent many happy holidays there as kids. It has happy memories.

“Jean loved going up there. While she was not a great top of the hills walker, she did love pottering around and seeing the scenery.

“It just seemed the most -suitable thing to do. It seemed to be a nice place, a quiet place.”

The ashes of Kenneth’s late wife, Cynthia, had already been laid there.

Sonia laughed and added: “My mum was already there, enjoying the peace and quiet. She is probably cussing us now, saying ‘Oh lord, those two are here’.”

Animal lover Jean played much-loved Corrie character Ogden between 1964 and 1987 and was later voted the greatest soap star of all time.

Hilda remains one of the most recognised Corrie icons and her final appearance remains the most-watched episode of the show in history.

After leaving the cobbles she became a mainstay of BBC sitcom Last Of The Summer Wine as eccentric bric-a-brac shop owner Auntie Wainwright.

HE’S not been back from the dead for five minutes but Gary Windass has already moved on in Coronation Street.

The cheater of both death and in relationships – who is played by actor Mikey North in the ITV soap – recently shocked Sarah Platt when he returned from the dead before being exposed as a cheater and breaking her heart.

Now it looks as if he’s going to swap Sarah for Nicola Rubinstein after the pair slept together and are expecting a baby.

New filming pictures show a wounded Gary reuniting with the expectant mother of his child after Sarah kicked him out.

David broke the news to his sister who was utterly devastated by Gary’s betrayal.

“Some Russian tart? I think I might understand, not that I’d forgive you but here, right under my nose,” she told him.

“I thought you were dead and every minute I was thinking, he was the one, he’s the one.”

Hitting him she added: “Do me a favour and don’t invite me to the Christening.”

Throwing him out, Gary raged at David for not letting him tell Sarah in his own time, but the damage was done and he was chucked out in short order.

Nicola left the cobbles some weeks ago after she learned the truth about how she was conceived.

Despite her biological father Pat Phelan claiming he had an affair with Nicola’s mother, it soon emerged that he had in fact raped her.

Nicola teamed up with Anna Windass, another of Phelan’s rape victims, to flee and keep the baby away from him forever.

But he tracked her down and is trying to force Gary to convince her to return to Weatherfield, and from the looks of it, he has succeeded.

Speaking about Cath’s departure, Kym – who plays Michelle Connor – wrote in her OK! column: “I was very sad to hear it. I had no idea she was planning to leave.

“Eva Price is such a fun character and Cath has been wonderful part of the show over the last seven years, so there will be a big hole left she goes.”

She continued: “It feels like a lot of people are leaving at the minute, after Shayne Ward also announced that he’s going. But that’s the nature of our job, people come and go all the time.

“I wish Cath all the luck in the world with whatever she’s planning next.”

The Sun revealed Catherine was leaving last week and the actress revealed she was hoping to do serious dramas.

Catherine, 34, said: “Coronation Street has been a dream job for me which is why this was such a difficult decision to leave.

“Eva has been such fun to play over the last seven years, and who knows, one day she might storm the cobbles of Weatherfield again.

“In the meantime I’m excited about the future, new acting projects, and spending time with my family.”
