Al-Abadi said: “You know teenagers under certain laws, they are accountable for their actions.

“Especially if the act is a criminal activity when it amounts to killing innocent people.”

The Iraqi PM said Wenzel is being held at a prison in Baghdad prison after her capture in Mosul in July.

He added that it would be “a case for the courts” to decide if prosecutors will demand the death penalty.

The latest news has her father back in Germany  desperately worried about what will become of his little girl.

Reiner Wenzel said: “I want so much that my Linda comes home again healthy. I will always be there for her.”

He added: "I fear for her. The authorities absolutely have to bring her to Germany so that she can get a fair trial."

Linda's father said he had not had any personal contact yet with his daughter since she joined ISIS a year ago.

Wenzel said: "I was however told that Linda was not involved in any acts of war."

The schoolgirl has been accused of involvement with a special brigade which checked whether women were deemed to be suitably covered up on the streets.

Women who would not abide to the strict clothing rules – including a ban on make-up and a compulsory full-face veil – were whipped by the savage enforcers.

German diplomats have been negotiating with Iraqi officials about a possible extradition of Wenzel to Germany to face trial there, although it is not known if this will be allowed to happen.

If she were tried in her own country, instead of the death penalty she could get away with as little as ten years in prison for membership of a terrorist group.

The German government has repeatedly said in the past it would do "everything in its power" to save German citizens from execution abroad.

Brexit is a dangerous game – Theresa May must play that ace and walk to trump EU

HOW heartwarming to see France and Germany marching into last week’s EU summit in lock step with British PM Theresa May.

The image brought joy to those who desperately want a deal at any price.

Britain’s threat to walk away with a ‘no deal’ is, and always has been, our trump card — but only if we are prepared to play it

But warm words and fixed grins fail to erase the disturbing impression that Mrs May was a prisoner under escort.

Before getting carried away with this so-called “breakthrough”, we need to know if it was a genuine gesture of goodwill — or another ploy to cast Britain as the ungrateful neighbour from hell.

EU leaders are not being kind. They are acting, rightly, in their own self-interest.

They have no intention of allowing this country to leave their club on favourable terms.

We must be made to pay — and not just in the sackloads of cash demanded as ransom.

If our 27 ex-partners seem to be adopting a more realistic stance, it is because the UK appears determined, if pushed, to leave with No Deal.

The threat to walk is, and always has been, our trump card — but only if we are prepared to play it.

The last thing Britain must do now, in the face of a rather unconvincing new charm offensive, is to drop its guard and go wobbly.

EU leaders have no intention of offering serious concessions, let alone a white flag of surrender.

But they do know a clean Brexit would be disastrous for the European Dream.

First, they wouldn’t get a brass farthing from the British taxpayer — a truly catastrophic loss of revenue for an already spluttering political experiment.

Second, whatever turbulence we face, few seriously doubt unfettered Britain will flourish while the EU struggles on with stubborn unions and an army of unemployed young people. Others might want what we are having.

Luckily, Theresa May has some invaluable advice from the only person with recent first-hand experience of EU bully-boy tactics.

Greece’s ex-finance minister Yanis Varoufakis has published a scathing blow-by-blow account of the punishment beating dished out to bankrupt Greece for daring to stand up to Brussels.

Adults In The Room should be compulsory reading for ALL Cabinet ministers. It bleakly warns against any hope of compromise from Germany and France.

“They must realise you are prepared to walk out of the negotiations, whatever their threats,” says Varoufakis, “for if you are not, there is no point in entering the negotiating room in the first place.”

Having ignored his crucial advice in 2015, Greece today is condemned to spend eternity in what he describes as “debtors’ prison”.

Varoufakis’ account echoes the relentless mockery and smear campaigns against Brexit leader Boris Johnson

Varoufakis unveils the treachery, deceit and black propaganda deployed by Brussels — like the relentless mockery and smear campaigns against Mrs May and Brexit leader Boris Johnson.

The EU will stop at nothing to save their sacred Grand Project, he says.

Last week’s good cop/bad cop routine by Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron was just another negotiating tactic.

“I warned Theresa May she is going to get the EU run-around,” Varoufakis said last week.

“That runaround is now proceeding apace.”

Their first priority is to wreck plans for No Deal.

Having appeared to give ground, they will now string out negotiations only to pull the plug when it is too late for Britain to prepare for a viable clean break.

Remainers backed by Jeremy Corbyn would then campaign for Britain to cancel Article 50 and grovel to be allowed back in.

It is a dangerous game. Would Boris, Michael Gove and others simply stand by and allow Angela Merkel to humiliate this country?

Would Tory Remainiacs like Anna Soubry and Nicky Morgan be prepared to bring down their own government and let Corbyn’s Trots into power?

Chancellor Phil Hammond thinks it is a waste of Treasury money to prepare for something that might not happen. He might as well ask: “What is the point of our armed forces?”

We are engaged in mortal combat. Britain’s economic and political future is at stake.

It is reassuring to know Brexit Secretary David Davis has read and absorbed Varoufakis’s instruction manual — and never leaves home without it.

Parents of pupils at Thamesview School in Gravesend said they saw clowns, while another school nearby also reported pranksters.

Matthew Clark, headteacher at Tymberwood Academy, said the school was taking it seriously and wrote on Facebook: “We want to make you aware of an incident at lunchtime today.

“Some of our pupils, playing on the lower part of the KS2 playground, may have witnessed some older local children, wearing Halloween clown masks, running along the alleyway and acting inappropriately.”

Shoppers and cars were targeted in Canterbury and multiple people reported a masked person chasing people in Liskeard, Cornwall.

Witnesses said they saw a man in a clown mask chasing cars down the road and shouting at people, as one woman said the man scared her six-year-old child.

These sightings have prompted fears the craze which swept the globe this time last year could be coming back.

People all over the world donned masks and were known as “killer clowns” as they scared others through pranks.

Last year Thames Valley Police were called to 14 reports of people being intimidated or frightened by people dressed as clowns over the course of two days.

Some of those who dressed up ended up in court as the craze escalated and saw people attacked and severely frightened.

The disturbing craze returned in September 2017 when a spooky jester was reportedly jumping out on people in an Essex park.

Advice from police in the UK about what to do if you encounter a clown is to remain calm and call the authorities.

ZIMBABWEAN despot Robert Mugabe has been dropped as a goodwill ambassador for the World Health Organisation after his shock appointment was condemned across the world.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus sparked outrage on Saturday when he announced Mugabe, 93, would coordinate the UN’s battle against heart disease, cancer and diabetes across Africa.

Critics have accused the Zimbabwean President of running his country’s healthcare system into the ground while he regularly flies abroad for his own medical treatment.

Opposition leaders from the impoverished nation blasted Mugabe’s appointment, claiming his government has left hospitals so short of cash and supplies that patients are often required to buy their own drugs before surgery.

The surprise decision was also slammed by the UK Government, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, and groups including UN Watch and the World Heart Federation.

Dr Tedros, the first African to lead the WHO, said he was “honoured” that Mugabe was joining the organisation and described Zimbabwe as “a country that places universal health coverage and health promotion at the centre of its policies to provide healthcare to all”.

In an embarrassing climbdown a day later, the WHO head revealed Mugabe has been dropped from the role.

He said: “I have reflected on my appointment of H.E. President Robert Mugabe as WHO Goodwill Ambassador for NCDs (Noncommunicable diseases) in Africa.

“As a result I have decided to rescind the appointment.

“I have listened carefully to all who have expressed their concerns, and heard the different issues that they have raised.

“I have also consulted with the Government of Zimbabwe and we have concluded that this decision is in the best interests of the World Health Organization.”

Dr Tedros said he is firmly committed to ensuring that “everyone has access to the health care they need”.

Salani Mutseyami, a spokeswoman for the campaign groups Zimbabwe Vigil and Restoration of Human Rights, said Mugabe’s appointment was “absolutely absurd”.

She added: “It shows the lack of interest that the UN might have towards what is really going on in Zimbabwe.

“If the leader has to jet off to another country to get medical attention that shows you he cannot get that in Zimbabwe.

“The whole health system is in tatters. So I don’t know what political games are being played by the United Nations when they give such a man a platform.”
